After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu Valley to Syabrubesi, located northwest of Kathmandu. Along the journey, marvel at the breathtaking scenery unfolding before you – from the tumultuous rivers and terraced fields to the picturesque Nepali villages nestled amidst snow-capped peaks. The road offers a smooth ride until Trishuli Bazaar, after which it gradually becomes rugged as it ascends towards Dhunche before descending back down to Syabrubesi. This bustling bazaar town offers much to explore, including riverside hot springs where you can unwind and relax amidst the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Starting from Syabrubesi, our journey on the trail commences with crossing the Bhote Kosi and Langtang River. As we traverse along the banks of the Langtang River, we are immersed in the verdant jungle and terraced fields, surrounded by fertile landscapes. Our path leads us past the remnants of a landslide area before ascending towards Bamboo. Amidst the ascent, we are greeted by the enchanting sights of bamboo and birch forests, with the possibility of encountering rare local wildlife such as the elusive red panda. Continuing our trek, we gradually make our way up to Rimche, nestled along the banks of the Langtang River. Throughout the route, we encounter quaint rural settlements, each adding to the charm of our journey. Our day's destination is the serene village of Lama Hotel, where we conclude our first day of trekking amidst the tranquil beauty of the Himalayan landscape.
Our journey persists alongside the Langtang River, where we ascend amidst dense forests, enveloped by the serene beauty of the Himalayan landscape. Along the way, tantalizing glimpses of snow-capped peaks allure us onward, urging us to venture further into the heart of the mountains. As we progress, the once narrow river valley gradually unfolds into a vast expanse upon reaching Ghoda Tabela. This area, formerly a site for a Tibetan resettlement project, bears testament to the region's rich history and cultural significance. Here, we pause at the Ghoda Tabela army check post to fulfill necessary paperwork requirements before crossing to the east side of the river, drawing nearer to the illustrious Langtang Valley. Our path is adorned with prayer wheels, set in motion by the flowing waters, and colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze, serving as reminders of the spiritual essence ingrained in these lands. Finally, we arrive at the picturesque Langtang village, a quaint settlement inhabited by the Tamang community, where we immerse ourselves in the captivating charm of the local culture amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery.
On day 4 of our trek, our ascent continues through a landscape adorned with small abandoned villages and expansive meadows. The wide expanse of the Langtang valley unfolds before us, offering breathtaking panoramas of the majestic Himalayas stretching into the distance. Along our path, we traverse numerous tributaries and navigate across a glacial moraine, adding to the adventure of our journey. Our destination, Kyanjin Gompa, once the largest settlement along our route, now stands as a testament to the resilience of the region, despite being largely abandoned in the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake. After a nourishing lunch, we have the option to embark on a climb to the Kyajo Ri Viewpoint at 5,150m / 19,600ft. From this vantage point, we are treated to awe-inspiring vistas of several mountain ranges and the sweeping beauty of the Langtang Valley below, offering a moment of profound connection with the natural wonders that surround us.
On this day, we'll take a well-deserved break for acclimatization at Kyanjin Gompa. The upper Langtang Valley unveils breathtakingly close views of towering mountains and glistening glaciers. Our exploration includes visits to the Yak cheese factory and the serene Kyanjin Gompa Monastery, immersing ourselves in the local culture. For the adventurous souls, an optional trek to Langshisha Kharka and the Tserko Ri (5450m) viewpoint awaits, offering captivating vistas of Himalayan peaks such as Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Langtang II (6,596m), and Yala peak (5,500m). We conclude the day with a peaceful return to Kyanjin Gompa for the evening.

Passing through Langtang Village, we pause for a moment of reflection before continuing our journey. A rejuvenating lunch awaits us at Ghora Tabela, where we fulfill exit formalities at the army check post. Energized, we descend through lush forests alongside the river valley, eventually reaching our destination for the day: Lama Hotel.

Along the way, we're treated to magnificent views of the Ganesh Himal, a majestic mountain range that graces the horizon with its towering peaks. Here, amidst the tranquil surroundings, we can reflect on the day's adventures and immerse ourselves in the unique charm of the local culture.
National Park's army checkpoint. Within a mere half-hour of uphill trekking, we arrive at Daragang, where the trail eases its steepness amidst enchanting hemlock and oak forests. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might catch a glimpse of the elusive red panda amidst the foliage. Continuing onward, we trek through Dhimsa and Sing Gompa, eventually reaching our night's resting place at Cholangpati.
On day 9, as you ascend, the stunning Langtang Himal (7234 m) welcomes you to the Langtang Range. Beginning on a solitary, rugged mountain trail, the horizon unfolds with majestic peaks including Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, and the distant Annapurnas to the west. After several hours, we reach Laure Binayak, commencing our uphill journey towards Gosainkunda. Following a challenging two-hour climb, we reach a chorten, and an hour further brings us to breathtaking views of Saraswati Kunda and Bhairav Kunda, serene lakes fed by the waters of Gosainkunda. This sacred site holds deep reverence among Hindus, believed to be a cherished abode of Lord Shiva, drawing thousands of pilgrims annually for a holy festival in the fall.
Today, you'll embark on a memorable journey crossing the Laurebina La High Pass into the picturesque Helambu region. Beginning from Gosainkunda lake, the trail descends from the lodges to the tranquil waters of the lake. Following the northern shore, the path gradually steepens as we approach the majestic Laurebina La Pass, passing by several small lakes along the way. Marked by a stone stupa and fluttering prayer flags, the Laurebina La Pass stands as the pinnacle of the Langtang Trek. Descending through a wide valley, we reach High Camp (4240 m) before continuing our descent on a rocky path to Phedi. From Phedi, the journey becomes more demanding as we navigate long ascents towards Ghopte, passing through challenging terrain and crossing a footbridge over a stream
Embarking on our trek, we traverse through enchanting groves of juniper, rhododendron, and pine in a remote, uninhabited area until we reach the serene highland setting of Tharepati. Continuing our journey from Tharepati, the path gently descends through the forest along the western ridge slope. Along the way, we encounter a vast meadow adorned with the remnants of shepherd's huts, offering glimpses of Gangchempo and Dorje Lakpa peaks in the distance. As we proceed, the descent becomes steeper, leading us through dense forests to Magin Goth (3265m). A brief walk later, we pass Kuala Bhanjyang (3335m) and descend to the picturesque village of Kutumsang (2470m).
Setting off from Kutumsang, our journey begins with an ascent followed by a descent to the quaint village of Gul Bhanjyang (2140m). From there, we ascend to Thorong Danda (2500m), where we traverse a dusty wide road before continuing on a steep and rocky path to Chipping village. Descending steadily, we arrive at Pati Bhanjyang (1760m), nestled between Chipping and Chisopani. A brief half-hour walk from here leads us to Chisopani, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of several majestic mountains.
Continuing our journey from Chisopani, we soon arrive at the Shivapuri National Park checkpoint. From there, we follow a wide road downhill before ascending on a paved path uphill for 1 hour. Along the way, we pass by water reservoirs and large water pipes until we reach Sundarijal (1460m). Here, we bid farewell to the trails and board local transport back to Kathmandu.
