As we continue our descent, the trail leads us across the sturdy bridge over the Budi Gandaki River, ushering us into a narrow gorge where the terrain begins to undulate, offering a delightful mix of ascents and descents. Descending through the verdant forest, we reach Sangore Kharka meadow, a tranquil oasis nestled amidst the rugged terrain. Crossing a landslide with caution, we embark on a steep ascent to a ridge adorned with colorful prayer flags, symbolizing the spiritual journey of our trek. As we descend to the banks of the river at Gho, the rhythmic flow of the water serves as a reminder of the timeless harmony between nature and the human spirit, beckoning us to embrace the wonders of the natural world.
You will exit Tilije through a stone arch, cross the Dudh Khola and follow along its embankment that descends through the scrub forest. As you trek ahead, the walls of the Marsyangdi Valley start to look larger, and finally, the houses of Dharapani appear in the distance. You will then pass Thonje village via a wooden bridge and a chorten-shaped arch, and Dharapani lies across a long suspension bridge over the Marsyangdi. But your trail continues on the sandy banks of the Marsyangdi River until you reach Tal. The prayer flags, mani walls, and chortens in and around Tal tell you that Tal is a Buddhist village.
Embarking on the final leg of our journey, we bid farewell to the mountainous terrain and board a local Jeep or bus from Tal to Besisahar. The scenic drive, spanning approximately 4 to 5 hours, offers glimpses into the daily lives of rural communities as we pass through quaint villages and bustling towns like Bhulbhule and Khudi. Our route winds alongside the majestic Marsyangdi River, treating us to breathtaking views of terraced farmland and lush landscapes that paint the landscape in vibrant hues. As we traverse the Prithvi Highway on our way back to Kathmandu, the tranquil melody of the Trishuli River accompanies us, providing a soothing soundtrack to our journey.
